Claudia Merrill is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Grace City Opera Theatre Claudia has performed all over the United States and Europe singing Opera and performing as a Concert Artist.
After making her debut at Carnegie Hall singing John Rutter's Requiem with the New York Symphony, she then went to become the first African American Principal Soprano for the Las Vegas City Opera Theatre. She has performed with Nevada Grand Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, Arbor Opera Theatre and Grace City Opera Theatre, Principal Artist. In addition to her Opera work Claudia has performed as a concert Soloist in Faure's Requiem, John Carter, Cantata, Mozart's Magnificat, Mendohlsson's Elijah, Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi's Gloria and many others.
Ms. Merrill has an extensive background in Education and the Fine Arts as a singing voice specialist, librettist, composer as well. Claudia has been teaching voice for more than 10 years and has worked with professional artists as well as with persons who want to improve or restore their voices. Claudia has developed a voice curriculum and program for all levels of voice from beginner to Professional level. Any student that studies with my virtual studio will see marked improvement after practicing the vocal techniques that fit your unique voice.
